I cannot get Gimpshop to Run

Please excuse me, I am new to the Mac OS X - I am an old OS 9 user from long ago coming back, however, I do know my way around a unix shell.

I cannot get GimpShop to run.

I am running OS 10.6.3

I already had X11 installed.

I downloaded Gimpshop-OSX-2.2.11

I installed Gimpshop to my Applications folder just like any other application.

When I try to run Gimpshop, I X11 starts up and brings up a command prompt.

Nothing else occurs.

Am I missing something?

We will have to wait until they come out with a version for the new operating system.

I have Mac 10.5, so I guess that's that. Was hoping to find a Photoshop equivalent for free, or at least more reasonably priced than Adobe. What r u using?

Well,

I wish you good luck. I have been waiting for a new version since two years undecided

I have the impression that this project is dead, since I have been seeing the same version for two years and apparantly there is no feedback from the developper on the forum either.

Maybe legal issues of the developper with Adobe ? lips sealed

However I haven't been able to run gimpshop since mac OS X 10.4 Tiger.

It is a wonder that the website is still alive and that the forum is still up. Maybe there is still some kind of hope after all. Wink
